    This handwoven beauty is an ideal beach sarong. Egyptian cotton is super absorbent and this handwoven beauty doubles up as a lightweight towel.

    This Egyptian cotton sarong measures approximately 80cm x 204cm excluding the tassels which means it works well as a cover up straight off the beach.

    To top it off – the colour combination is simply stunning!

    Machine washable at 40 degrees.
    Do not tumble dry or dry clean.
    May be hung to dry.
    For best results iron whilst damp.

    It took a member of our small Egyptian weaving cooperative approximately two days to weave this fouta using a traditional wooden loom. This included preparing the warp, threading the loom, weaving and finishing the fouta.

    The cream, purple and red colour combo of this handwoven fouta makes for a rather lovely beach towel. It is also the perfect, lightweight spa towel and a rather fabulous picnic blanket!

    This fouta is soft, highly absorbent and dry extremely quickly. It measures approx. 78cm x 195cm and weighs approx. 200 grams. It will roll and fold easily making it the perfect travel accessory!

    Please note our foutas are handwoven on traditional wooden looms. We use handspun, hand dyed Egyptian cotton and there may be some imperfections in the weave. Colours will vary and the order of the stripes may vary.

    A fouta is patterned cotton fabric that was traditionally worn by men and women whilst they attended public bath houses in the 19th-century. Now a fouta is a must have beach accessory that works perfectly as a beach towel and a throw.

    Our foutas are handwoven by our small team of weavers in Egypt and are made from 100% Egyptian cotton.
